ERM1-250/19

The ERM1-250/19 is the smallest round Professional crane-suspended personnel platform in Lifting Technologies’ lineup, engineered for safe elevated access by a single worker in confined or restricted work environments where a very compact circular footprint is required and overhead protection is not. Its 19″ diameter platform allows one worker to stand securely under the crane hook while accessing localized overhead or near-vertical work points in tight spaces such as between equipment, near columns, or inside structural openings.​

Professional Round Man Basket construction uses a heavy-gauge steel frame and bar grating floor to create a rigid, slip-resistant working surface, with 42″ high guardrails, 6″ toeboards around the perimeter, and perforated steel plate side panels from toeboard up to the mid-rail to help contain tools and small items. An inward-opening self-closing access gate with positive latching provides controlled entry and exit, and a full-perimeter inner grab rail serves as personal fall-arrest anchorage in line with OSHA 1926.502 fall-protection provisions. As an open-top ERM model, ERM1-250/19 has no overhead canopy or skylight panels, reducing total height and weight compared with overhead-protected ERMO models.​

The ERM1-250/19 is a single-person round model with a 19″ diameter platform, a 250 lb maximum rated load capacity, a 313 lb test (proof) weight, and an approximate basket weight of 180 lb. The 250 lb rating is intended to cover one worker plus personal tools, materials, and PPE, and each ERM1-250/19 is proof-load tested at 125% of rated capacity—313 lb—before shipment.​

ERM-series sling models use a dedicated four-leg sling assembly of 1/2″ 6×36 IWRC wire rope, secured to a master link that connects to the crane hook. Each sling leg is attached directly to the platform base using swaged terminations and threaded steel safety clevis pins, creating a base-attached suspension that distributes loads evenly and helps maintain platform stability. A fifth safety leg is used to tie off to the load line above the overhaul ball, further limiting tipping and swing in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1431 guidance for hoisting personnel.​

Professional round baskets, including ERM1-250/19, are finished with an electrostatic powder-coat (standard solid red for the platform, with yellow accents on the detachable Test Weight System) to resist impact, abrasion, and corrosion. Each unit ships with Lifting Technologies’ unique easy-on/easy-off detachable Test Weight System for proof-load testing, the sling assembly, Use and Safety Handbook, proof-load certificates, and pre-use inspection checklists, providing a complete package for safe commissioning and documentation.​

ERM1-250/19 is typically used where a single worker needs compact, crane-suspended access to very localized overhead or vertical work in areas with limited space and where overhead falling-object hazards are controlled administratively rather than through an integrated overhead frame. The small 19″ diameter makes it especially well suited to very tight or congested spaces where larger round, square, or rectangular baskets cannot maneuver.​
