Suspended Personnel Platform Use & Safety Video

Lifting Technologies LLC is the leading manufacturer of suspended personnel platforms. As part of our continuous emphasis on leading the industry in both safety and quality, we offer our SPP Use & Safety Video.

This 12-minute video provides an overview on how to safely perform lifts with a Lifting Technologies crane suspended personnel lifting platform and includes information regarding pertinent OSHA and ASME safety rules. It also provides a close look at LT’s manbasket safety features. The video can be accessed at.

Suspended Personnel Platform Trained User Course – The Next Step In Safety

Lifting Technologies LLC is the leading manufacturer of manbaskets, which OSHA defines as suspended personnel platforms. As the leader in manbasket safety, Lifting Technologies, in partnership with Industrial Training International, developed a comprehensive online training program covering OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1431 and the proper execution of a suspended personnel platform operation.

This course first focuses on understanding common terms and definitions to help the student properly identify the components of the platform. Videos and photos are used to explain how to effectively plan and execute all stages of the lift, including the pre-operational inspection, proof test, trial lift, rigging and crane check, pre-lift meeting, post-lift meeting and post-operational inspection.

After successful completion of this course, which includes a final written exam, the student is issued a Trained User Certificate. For an additional fee, the student may request a field exam form to be administered by the student’s employer. Upon successful completion of the field exam, the employer may issue an Authorized User Card, which is provided with the field exam form.

Additional courses in Signaling for Mobile and Overhead Cranes, Fundamentals of Slings & Rigging Equipment, Basic Rigging Inspection, Signalperson Certification and more through our partnership with Industrial Training International. You can access these courses through our website safety page.
