Affordable crane-suspended man basket series
Lifting Technologies Professional series man baskets are built for the more budget-conscious user but provide many of the safety and quality features of our premier line, including the unique detachable Test Weight System and an electrostatic powder coat finish.
These solid red baskets are lighter in weight than our premier series but come with a high-strength 0.120" wall, 1.500" square tubular steel frame and are available in square, round, and rectangular sizes.
Every man basket model from Lifting Technologies comes with our specialized detachable Test Weight System allowing for easy testing between jobs. This ensures maximum safety below the hook and full compliance with OSHA.
All man baskets are sold as a "turn-key" package and come equipped with LT's unique test weight system, sling assembly, and training DVD.
Professional Man Basket Features
Features include:
- An electrostatic powder coat finish that provides high resistance to impact, abrasions, chemicals, and corrosion. Available in our standard red (test weight in yellow) or choose a custom color of your own as an additional option.
- Unique easy-on/easy-off detachable test weight system
- Heavy-gauge steel frame and floor grating to provide solid platform support
- 42" high guardrail and full-perimeter inner grab rail providing personal fall arrest anchorage in compliance with OSHA, part 1926.502, subpart M
- Perforated steel sides from toe-board to mid-rail
- Access gate, with positive restraining device
- Four-leg sling assembly suspension system of 1/2" 6x36 IWRC wire rope, secured to a master link. Also included is the fifth leg for tie-off to load line above overhaul ball. Non-overhead models have slings protected with a nylon cover.
- Grab rail inside entire perimeter providing personal fall arrest system
- AWS certified welding procedures performed by certified welders
- Optional overhead protection, with perforated steel skylights, 6’ 7” above the platform floor
- A three-year manufacturer’s warranty
- Use and Safety Handbook and training DVD explaining OSHA rule
- Certification of OSHA compliance provided with each platform in documentation tube.

Man baskets have a 42" guardrail height from the floor and overhead models have a 79" inside height from the floor to overhead frame. All dimensions are outside dimensions. The rated load capacity of all models may be increased. Overhead protection is available on all models.
